It’s very quick and easy! The first step is to choose your film and verify that it is available for public screenings in your town. Everything ok? Then just click on “Organize your Screening” and fill out the form. One detail: don’t forget that your contact will be shared with the producer responsible for the chosen video. After all, there’s nothing better than strengthening your relationship with people that share the same interests! ;)
Don’t worry, 72 hours before your screening you will receive an email with all the instructions and a link to the film you picked. Didn’t get an email? Stay calm, the same information will also be available on your VIDEOCAMP account.
This happens sometimes. The important thing is to check the possible causes. These are the possibilities:
1. Unstable internet connection
Before you hold the screening, we recommend you check the internet connection available in the space. If the connection works well, you probably won’t have problems, but if it is unstable it is normal for the video to load slowly or to “stutter.” If that’s the case, we recommend you choose a film that offers the option to download. This way you can download the film ahead of time, without having to depend on the location’s internet connection.
2. Automatic password generator
All the films on VIDEOCAMP are made available through Vimeo, and in order to access them you must type in a password. Attention: this password is random and automatically generated, available always at the top of your profile page. To avoid problems, don’t forget to test your access to the video before the screening.
If you still have questions, you can always get in touch with us via email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our tip is that you make the most of the extra information provided by the producers. In the engagement area, you will find supporting materials, as well as links that help in publicizing the issue. If you are an educator you can also access lesson plans made available by other teachers on the platform.
We know unforeseen things can happen, so don’t worry. If you couldn’t hold the screening on the scheduled date, please send an email to email@example.com explaining what happened and ask for a new date. This way we’ll leave everything in order in our system. We can always work it out!
Write to firstname.lastname@example.org informing us of the cancellation of your screening.
Write to email@example.com explaining your situation. The VIDEOCAMP team will work out a solution with you.
Log into your account, click on 'My screenings,' edit the screening you wish to change and make the necessary alterations. If you are unable to change it, write to firstname.lastname@example.org informing us of the new date. The VIDEOCAMP team will make the necessary alterations.
The decision to make the film available for download is up to the film’s rights holder. That is, the film may not be available for download. This information is provided at the top of the screening request form. If the film is available for download, access it with the password provided to you and click on the ‘Download’ button on the lower left corner.
It’s possible that you can’t perform the action when you click on the ‘Download’ button due to your browser settings. There are two possibilities:
1. If nothing happened when you clicked, pass your mouse over the video and click on ‘Vimeo.’ A new tab will open on your browser. The download button will be available on the lower right corner of this page. You have four file options, from the smallest to the largest. Choose the file most appropriate to your screening.
2. If you were directed to a new page where the film will load, use your mouse’s right button to download.
The films available for public screening through VIDEOCAMP require a minimum attendance of 5 people for approval. After the screening of the film, you must send a screening report confirming the number of people present and at least one photo of the session.
Access www.videocamp.com with your registered login and password. The screenings schedule by you will appear on your profile page. Click on the ‘play’ icon next to the screening you need to access. Remember that the film is only made available 72 hours prior to the screening date.
After choosing the film, enter its page and click on "Organize a screening". There, on the "Screening specifications" field, you can find out if the film can be downloaded and in which languages it is available.
If you have already scheduled a screening of a film that is available for download, you can download it by following the steps below:
